We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fish Cutter to join our vibrant food production team. Responsibilities
- Carefully clean, fillet, and portion fish and seafood items according to established standards and recipes
- Use sharp knife skills to efficiently cut, debone, and prepare various types of fish for packaging or cooking
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines throughout all stages of food handling
- Package prepared seafood products securely for storage or sale, ensuring freshness and quality preservation
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work station, including equipment sanitation and waste disposal
- Support the food preparation process by assisting with other kitchen tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets while upholding safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or a related culinary field, preferably within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong knife skills with the ability to efficiently perform meat cutting and fish filleting tasks
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with packaging seafood products for retail or wholesale distribution
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure product quality and safety standards are met consistently
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Prior kitchen experience or culinary training is highly desirable
