Lead Wedding Coordinator

About the Role
We are growing our coordination team for the coming wedding season and are seeking experienced, organized, and calm-under-pressure Lead Wedding Coordinators to join our team. Our coordinators work in a team-based environment, supporting couples through thoughtful pre-wedding coordination and seamless wedding day execution.
The Lead Wedding Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for clients once their coordination package begins and is responsible for managing timelines, logistics, vendor communication, and on-site leadership. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy structure, accountability, and collaborative event execution.
Pre-Wedding Responsibilities
Once assigned to a wedding (based on the client’s selected package timeline), Lead Coordinators are expected to:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client during the coordination period
- Provide structured pre-wedding coordination support within assigned support hours
- Participate in onboarding and planning calls as scheduled
- Review vendor contracts, timelines, and key logistical details (no contract negotiation)
- Conduct venue walkthroughs when applicable
- Create and finalize the master wedding day timeline and event flow
- Perform final vendor confirmations and logistics coordination
- Lead ceremony rehearsal coordination
Wedding Day Responsibilities
- Lead on-site execution of the wedding day
- Manage the master timeline and event flow
- Serve as the main point of contact for the client, wedding party, and vendor team
- Direct and support Assistant Coordinators
- Oversee vendor arrivals, setup, execution, and breakdown
- Manage décor placement and personal items according to plans
- Cue ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception events
- Troubleshoot issues in real time with professionalism and discretion
- Maintain a calm, organized, and confident presence throughout the event
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of wedding or event coordination experience
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple moving parts under pressure
- Professional demeanor and client-facing confidence
- Weekend and evening availability
- Physically able to be on your feet for extended periods
