Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers to take drink orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register or POS system.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff as needed.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
Skills
- Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Toast POS, for efficient order processing.
- Experience in the food and bar industry with a strong understanding of service operations.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating totals accurately.
- Knowledge of bartending techniques and beverage preparation methods.
- Familiarity with food handling practices to maintain hygiene standards.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.

- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or menu items to enhance their experience
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and stocked for efficient service
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash and credit payments seamlessly
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates to keep offerings fresh and exciting
- Monitor alcohol consumption responsibly, adhering to all food safety and alcohol service regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate service during busy periods like banquets or catering events
Requirements
- Proven experience in bartending within fine dining or hospitality environments, with strong cocktail-making skills and mixology knowledge
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; ability to process transactions efficiently
- Knowledge of beverage recipes, wine varieties, spirits, craft beers, and food safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours without compromising quality
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus
- Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and accurate order processing
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting
