The Sign Center is looking for an experienced Lead Sign Installer to join our growing installation team.
For more than 40 years, we've designed, fabricated, and installed high-quality commercial signage throughout New England for businesses, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, municipalities, and many other organizations.
This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone with strong mechanical skills, excellent judgment, and the confidence to lead installations safely while delivering exceptional workmanship. What You'll Do
- Install a wide variety of commercial signs and graphics, including illuminated signs, monument signs, architectural signage, ADA signage, window graphics, and wayfinding systems.
- Lead or support complex installations while maintaining safety, quality, and project schedules.
- Read installation drawings, blueprints, layouts, and work orders to ensure every project is installed accurately.
- Evaluate field conditions and determine the best installation methods, mounting techniques, and anchoring systems.
- Safely operate ladders, boom lifts, scissor lifts, bucket trucks, cranes, and other installation equipment.
- Conduct site surveys and verify field measurements when needed.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Production, and fellow Installers to deliver outstanding results.
- Represent The Sign Center professionally with customers and on every jobsite.
You'll Be Successful in This Role If You Have...
- Experience installing commercial signs or comparable hands-on experience in a skilled construction trade.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
- The ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and installation layouts.
- Comfortability working at heights and operating lifts and related equipment safely.
- Familiarity with low-voltage sign installation and site preparation.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- A positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Lead or Senior Sign Installer.
- Construction Supervisor License (CSL).
- CDL-B or experience operating commercial vehicles.
- Experience in construction, finish carpentry, electrical, glazing, millwork, or other skilled trades that translate well into commercial sign installation.

- Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
