Job Description:
Coordinates and directs patient care to ensure patients’ needs are met and hospital policy followed. Contributes to the day-to-day clinical operations management of assigned unit. Evaluation of interventions. Communicates patient information. Clinical documentation. Skills competency. Manages workload. Implements physician orders. Recognizes patient care variances. Accountable for productivity. Conducts staff development. Manage critical events. Manages the Discern Notify for daily charge issues. Determines assignments Assists in performance appraisals, rounding and H-S-L conversations with team. Act as Patient Care Manager in his/her absence. Supports employee retention. Deals with patient and/or family issues daily. Ensures patient satisfaction as evidenced by HCHAPS scores in response to patient questionnaires. Conducts daily leadership rounding in conjunction with the Nurse Manger Counsels and coaches staff. Develops policy and procedures. Collaborates with the Non-Invasive Manager in developing unit schedule, anticipates staffing needs, reviews staffing coverage, and approves staff schedule change, PDO, and vacation requests. Actively participates in unit communications to disseminate clinical and administrative information to appropriate staff. Proficient use of all equipment to include computer tools used to support patient care. Provides patient/significant other with clear and concise staff education In collaboration with the Heart Center and others, provides staff education, maintains unit based competencies and participates in the Annual Education process. Assess the physical environment of the unit for cleanliness and safety hazards, and responds appropriately to effect a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and the public; evaluates equipment and supplies, and monitors for quality and effectiveness. Participates in EOC as needed. Prepares/submits monthly unit PI and provides staff with education on variances. Maintains ICAEL accreditation Actively participates in staff meetings on a monthly basis, coordinates staff in-services assists with education, and individual unit orientation. Collaborates with Non-Invasive Manager to develop and monitor unit budget, ensuring the unit operates in a cost effective manner. Provide assistance throughout the department and facility with the resolution of unmet expectations and/or problems. Actively participates in the Cardio/DI work flow of patients, physicians staff.

Associate two-year hospital or college program in non invasive cardiovascular imaging approved by the american medical association [Required]

3+ experience performing echocardiograms [Required]

$79,402.93 - $147,697.47
