In this position, you will oversee the operation, setup, and upkeep of CNC Swiss-style lathes to manufacture medical implants and instruments. We are open to providing training for current CNC Lathe Operators looking to advance their skills.
Your daily tasks will involve fabricating parts, inspecting components, deburring, and resolving technical issues. You will also assist with new product introductions by optimizing setups and debugging programs. We rely on your ability to solve problems proactively to bridge production gaps, maintain high quality, and ensure we meet our delivery schedules.
Your Core Responsibilities-
Manage machine changeovers, setups, and program debugging, including performing tool swaps and necessary adjustments.

Operate and maintain Swiss-style CNC equipment, hand tools, and fixtures, while ensuring all parts are properly deburred.

Analyze and translate technical blueprints, work instructions, and inspection documentation.

Utilize precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, height stands, calipers, and comparators.

Leverage ERP software and monitoring tools to track production, handle work orders, and record quality data digitally.

Collaborate with programmers by offering technical feedback and maintaining accurate setup documentation in line with change control protocols.

Mentor colleagues within your department to help the team achieve higher equipment utilization and output.

Assist in the professional development and training of other staff members as required.

Help the team reach quality and delivery goals by identifying and implementing process improvements.

Ensure we meet our customer commitments by strictly adhering to the production schedule.
Requirements for Success-
A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory, with preference given to those with additional technical education.

At least five years of professional experience running Swiss-style lathes in a production setting.

Prior familiarity with Tsugami, Citizen, or comparable Swiss-style equipment is highly desirable.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of production workflows and mastery of the tooling, gauging, and machinery used in your area.

Show proficiency in reading blueprints, managing setup files, and executing complex machine setups.

Possess a keen eye for part requirements to guarantee both functional and cosmetic quality standards.

Maintain a working knowledge of fundamental CNC programming concepts.

Communicate clearly with technical staff, management, and production teams to ensure smooth operations.

Demonstrate a solid grasp of lean manufacturing principles and goals.
