SOUS CHEF – LYKOS TAVERNA (DARIEN, CT)
Lykos Taverna seeks an experienced Sous Chef to lead our high-volume kitchen team. We specialize in modern Mediterranean cuisine with distinct Greek influences. This position is available for an immediate start.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary: $75,000 per year

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Certification: Active ServSafe Manager certification is required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Sous Chef or Lead Line Cook
- Technology: Experience with Kitchen Display Systems (KDS) preferred
- Operations: Prior experience handling vendor ordering preferred
- Schedule: 55 hours per week
- Physical: Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs
- Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended shifts
- Location: Reliable transportation to Darien, CT
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage daily back-of-house operations for modern Mediterranean menus
- Enforce strict food safety, sanitation, and ServSafe standards
- Cook on the line, and lead team
- Utilize KDS systems to manage ticket times and kitchen efficiency
- Oversee inventory, place vendor orders, and control food waste costs
- Supervise, train, and schedule line cooks
- Ensure consistent plate presentation and recipe execution
Pay: $75,000.00 per year
