Duties
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of hot and cold side commercial kitchen appliances including ovens, fryers, refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to accurately identify issues and implement solutions
- Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Install new kitchen equipment following safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Conduct field service visits at customer locations, ensuring timely and effective repairs
- Assist with assembly of new equipment and minor installations as needed
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and parts inventory to ensure seamless documentation of all activities
Skills
- Strong appliance repair skills with experience in commercial kitchen equipment
- Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Solid mechanical knowledge related to refrigeration, HVAC systems, and electrical components
- Customer service experience with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Delivery driver experience using box trucks or similar vehicles for transporting parts or equipment
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC principles, and electrical troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision while maintaining safety standards
