LifeSource is hiring a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operations of LifeSource. The CEO oversees the organization's administrative, operational, regulatory, and mission-driven activities; maintains a unified culture in partnership with the President and Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Integration Officer of Vital Impact Health Group (VIHG); ensures effective programs to maximize donation; leads public education and awareness efforts; and serves as the organization's primary external representative and designee on designated boards and advisory groups.
As Chief Executive Officer, you'll advance our life-saving work by performing the following job responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Vision:
- Provides executive leadership for LifeSource's day-to-day operations, regulatory performance, and strategic direction.
- Oversees operational, business, quality, and strategic plans, with goals measured and results reported to the Board of Directors and system leadership.
- Serves as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, supporting effective governance, policy oversight, and timely communication regarding operational matters.
- Prepares, implements, and monitors capital and operating budgets in collaboration with the President of Integration and the executive team.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, data-reporting, and governmental requirements related to donation and transplantation.
- Serves as the OPTN Administrative Director, ensuring effective organ recovery and placement in accordance with OPTN obligations.
- Ensures the effective functioning of the Advisory Board and Chief Medical Officer, strengthening medical oversight and relationships with the medical community.
- Represents the organization externally, serving as the primary spokesperson and liaison with donor agencies, transplant organizations, regulators, community groups, and the media.
- Leads public education, communications, and awareness efforts, ensuring a consistent, integrated messaging strategy.
- Promotes organizational excellence through quality monitoring, process improvement, leadership development, and continuous innovation.
Executive Leadership & Strategic Alignment:
- Leads the LifeSource executive leadership team in building a unified vision, strategy, and decision-making approach aligned with Vital Impact Health Group's strategic vision and plan.
- Provides inspiring leadership; recruits and retains top talent for LifeSource's executive team; and fosters a positive, inclusive, and productive work culture that supports Vital Impact Health Group's success.
- Fosters an organizational culture that retains top talent and emphasizes inclusion and belonging.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of eight years of progressive experience in healthcare management and executive leadership within an organ procurement organization, hospital, or health system environment is essential.
- A master's degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated executive leadership ability to inspire others, build consensus, manage conflict, drive change, and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture.
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, sound judgment, and problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proven experience in performance excellence, quality improvement, regulatory environments, and enterprise-wide initiatives; Lean or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with a track record of driving innovation across cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit a high degree of quality, integrity, and honor confidentiality of appropriate information including, but not limited to, personal team member data, organizational operations or work processes, donor and donor family information, contributor details, any financial information and medical or protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven skilled and competent in using technology-based tools such as personal computers and related software, mobile devices, and electronic medical record systems, as appropriate for position.
- Must be able to travel approximately 50% of the time within the donor service area and occasionally to national events and meetings.

Projected offer range: $340k to $435k, base salary, depending on relevant professional experience.
