Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Busser/Host to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this dynamic role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment they arrive. You will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting dining environment by assisting with table settings, sanitation, and food service support. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help create memorable experiences for our guests while supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Assist with seating guests by managing reservations and coordinating table assignments
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring proper sanitation and hygiene standards are maintained
- Buss tables promptly to prepare for incoming guests, including removing used dishes and utensils
- Support food service staff by delivering food and beverages safely, following proper handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, including sweeping floors, wiping surfaces, and sanitizing high-touch areas
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving tables, chairs, or supplies in accordance with safe lifting practices
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and guest needs
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred
- Strong knowledge of sanitation, cleaning protocols, and food safety standards
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting and table setting
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Familiarity with catering or kitchen experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
