Plans, coordinates, and provides SLP therapy services to students in grades PreK-12.
The salary range for the 2026/27 school year has not been approved yet, the amount for the 2025/26 school year is $50,252 - $72,392 depending on applicable years of experience. This amount will be updated for the 2026-27 school year when the salary matrix has been approved. The full-year contract is for 190 days.
There are stipends available for education levels at Doctorate Degree and National Board Certification.
Demonstrates knowledge of Speech/Language Pathology delivery models
Establishes goals for the Speech/Language Pathology program that are appropriate to the setting and students to whom services are provided
Maintains knowledge and understanding of district and other resources to reinforce therapeutic services
Integrates therapeutic services with general education, to meet student needs
Establishes and maintains clear procedures for referrals
Assists Individual Education Program (IEP) team and/or Section 504 plans in referral process, determining student needs and services to be provided
Conducts assessments with students to determine needs and progress
Organizes time effectively to provide services to all students needing therapeutic interventions
Develops and implements therapeutic programs to maximize student success
Establishes and communicates clear standards of conduct in the therapeutic center
Organizes physical space to effectively provide services and assess student progress
Establishes effective rapport with students
Maintains accurate records of student progress
Provides scheduled reports for Medicaid-eligible services
Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness in providing services
Consistently reflects on therapeutic effectiveness and explores ways to continue meeting expected outcomes
Provides consistent feedback to students, parents/guardians, Teachers, IEP team and outside agencies
Supervises and monitors the job performance of district occupational therapy assistants, technicians and/or paraprofessional
Maintains compliance with Code of Ethics for Idaho Professional Educators and Board policy
Maintains compliance with the Idaho State Department of Education Special Education Manual
Maintains an open mind and participates in team, department and building decision-making
Seeks opportunities for, and participates in, professional development
Makes provisions for being available to students and parents/guardians for education-related purposes outside instructional time when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of a Speech/Language Pathology program approved by the State Board of Education, Idaho
Licensed, or able to obtaian a license as a Speech/Language Pathology in the State of Idaho
Such alternatives to the above as the Board of Trustees may find appropriate and acceptable
. Applicants who do not currently hold an Idaho Administrator Credential are encouraged to contact the Idaho State Department of Education for certification requirements.
