Summary
Join Aero Global Logistics (AGL) as the Vice President of Operations. This strategic leadership role is based in the Columbus, OH area and requires the flexibility to travel over 50% of the time.
In this role, you will drive operational excellence and innovation to support our mission of delivering efficient, data-driven logistics solutions, starting in Columbus, OH and expanding to All AGL field operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring efficiency and high service standards.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics processes and expand operational capabilities.
- Manage cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and leadership.
- Collaborate with senior management to align operational strategies with overall business goals.
- Drive process improvements through automation and data analytics to enhance productivity.
- Negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare comprehensive reports for executive leadership.
- Ensure strict compliance with all industry regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Five to ten years of proven experience in senior operations management within the DDS logistics and transportation industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Travel: Willing to travel frequently for assignments (leading up to approximately 50% to 75%).
- Leadership: Strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
- Business Skills: Proficient in negotiation, business development, and stakeholder engagement.
- Project Management: Experienced with project management methodologies and process improvement initiatives.
- Data Analytics: Demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics for effective decision-making.
