We are currently recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for full-time positions at a state-operated psychiatric hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Your expertise and leadership will help ensure high-quality care to those in need.
These highly competitive positions provide premium hourly pay and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Successful candidates must be able to complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment in accordance with the specified schedule.
Job Details:
- 8-week contract (with opportunities for contract renewals)
- Full-time schedule, 36 hours (three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend)
- 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.) and night shift (7:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.) positions available
- Mandatory onboarding for orientation and training for up to 8 days, first shift (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday, at the beginning of the assignment
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License and Credentials Requirements:
- Current South Carolina or Compact LPN License
- Behavioral health nursing experience
- Current CPR Certification, BLS - American Heart Association
- Current 2-Step PPD or QuantiFERON
Primary Job Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments
- Provide direct patient care
- Maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients
- Document pertinent data
- Direct and supervise Nurse Aides
