This is a hands-on leadership role in a small, fast-moving manufacturing environment where you'll work directly with company leadership and have the opportunity to make an immediate impact.
Position Overview
This role combines operations coordination with hands-on manufacturing.
Approximately half of your time will be spent coordinating production schedules, purchasing, inventory, and day-to-day operational activities. The other half will be spent on the production floor assembling products, performing quality inspections, testing air horns, and preparing finished goods for shipment.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, staying organized, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to help wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Operations
- Coordinate production schedules to maintain inventory and meet customer demand
- Track work in progress and maintain production records using Google Sheets
- Plan production lots and prioritize manufacturing activities
- Coordinate purchasing of raw materials and production components
- Work directly with suppliers, outside manufacturers, and service vendors
- Coordinate incoming materials, deliveries, and inventory transfers
- Identify production bottlenecks and recommend process improvements
Administrative & Operational Support
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, facility repairs, and outside services
- Coordinate projects and tasks across departments
- Assist with payroll processing and employee time tracking
- Support accounts payable by coordinating invoices and purchase documentation
- Maintain production documentation, work instructions, and operational records
Hands-On Manufacturing & Quality
- Assemble premium air horns and related products
- Perform quality inspections on incoming components and finished products
- Test and tune finished air horns to meet company standards
- Package and prepare finished products for shipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment
- Assist wherever needed to keep production moving efficiently
QualificationsRequired
- Manufacturing experience in a production environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience using Google Sheets, inventory software, ERP, or MRP systems
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot problems
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
- Purchasing or supply chain coordination experience
- Inventory management experience
- Experience working in small or growing manufacturing companies
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
- Experience working with machine shops, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in both office and production environments
- Ability to safely use hand tools and testing equipment
