NexAir Avionics, located in Plymouth, MA (KPYM), is a fast-paced, high-tech shop looking for Avionics Technicians to perform service and instrument panel upgrades.

Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and schematics
- Excellent oral/written communication skills and above average computer skills and proficiency
- Ability to wear all required safety equipment; to walk/sit/climb/crawl/twist/bend/gain entry to/work in confined areas; and to work from stands and ladders
- Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs and be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which include bending, stooping, kneeling and working overhead for long periods of time
- Personal Characteristics:

- Ask for help and offer help when needed to ensure team success

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- College degree or equivalent in aviation electronics or related subjects is required
- Previous experience with the following manufacturers preferred: Garmin, Avidyne, and other GA Avionics suppliers a Plus
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of an Avionics Technician include troubleshooting, repair, testing, installation and inspection of aircraft electronic equipment and systems, removal and reassembly of aircraft interior and instrument panels, fabrication and testing of avionics systems wiring harnesses, Pitot-Static/RVSM systems testing and repair, and maintaining repair station records and documents as required.
- Perform avionics installations and upgrades for a variety of aircraft to OEM and aircraft manufacturer specifications
- Perform component levels repairs and re-certifications
- Ensure the proper preservation and protection of all avionics articles during maintenance and storage; including incoming in-process and life limited parts as outlined in Repair Station Manual
- Ensure that all forms initiated are completed in accordance with instructions located in Appendix A of the Repair Station Manual
- Ensure all avionics shop equipment and tools are maintained and in good working order
- Maintain work station in compliance with safety, fire, regulatory, and security requirements
Compensation Salary Based on Experience:
Benefits offered by NexAir: Health insurance, Dental insurance, Life insurance, 401k. Health Insurance Note: Company will pay 60%, Employee will be responsible for 40%. Bonus and/or incentive compensation payable at the discretion of the Company, depending on individual and Company performance. Note: Company compensation and benefits may change from time to time, at the sole discretion of the Company.
Vacation days:
During your first calendar year of employment, you will earn one vacation day for each full month worked to a maximum of 10 days. For the second calendar year and subsequent calendar years you will earn two (2) weeks. Carryover to the next year of a maximum of one week of unused vacation time is permitted.
Vacation days are increased to three (3) weeks after 5 years of employment, and four (4) weeks after 10 years of employment.
Holidays:
The Company observes 8 holidays each year as follows: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thurs/Fri), Christmas.
Sickness and Other Personal Time:
The Company allows 5 personal days per year to cover sickness and other pressing personal needs other than vacation and holidays. The 5 days may be used in any manner needed but cannot be used to extend vacation time. No carryover is allowed to the next year.
Trial Period:
NexAir Avionics has a trial period for all new employees. This period is for the first 90 days of employment. Benefits will not start until the trial period has ended.
