Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned and guest focused Security Officer that will be assigned to work at HOA properties in Century City/Beverly Hills area. The officer acts as a visible deterrent, performs regular patrols, monitors surveillance systems, and provides professional interaction with residents, staff, or delivery personnel, if applicable.
Starting Part-time with the possibility of becoming full time. SHIFTS include: swing, and overnight
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of the premises
- Check doors, gates, parking lots, and restricted areas.
- Monitor live surveillance cameras and alarm systems for suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms, noise complaints, trespassing, or emergencies.
- Investigate disturbances and unauthorized activity; escalate to law enforcement if necessary.
- Complete detailed incident and shift reports using clear, professional language.
- Monitor and control entry/exit points for unauthorized personnel all hours.
- Check credentials for visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers.
- Report hazards such as water leaks, fire hazards, or unsecured doors/windows, unauthorized visitor, traffic obstruction
- Maintain awareness of fire exits, alarms, and emergency evacuation routes.
- Deter loitering and promote a secure living environment.
- Maintain accurate shift logs, deter rounds, daily activity logs and pass down key information to incoming officers.
- Communicate effectively via two-way radio and mobile devices with supervisors and dispatch.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to walk and climb stairs
- Ability to walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to react appropriately in emergency situations.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs (e.g., packages, deliveries)
- Understanding of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with resident information
- Comfortable using phone, email, and concierge software platforms
- Knowledge of visitor management, key control, and building access procedures
- Maintains a neat, clean appearance and adheres to uniform standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ security experience in similar role
- HOA experience preferred but not required
- Customer Service experience
- Valid CA Guard Card
- CPR certified preferred but not required
- Valid CA Driver’s License
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
