Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the accurate assembly of IDI products by using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures and test equipment, to perform a series of operations, to required specifications, procedures, to correctly assemble products following written and verbal instructions, basic diagrams, blueprints specifications, engineering drawings, and bills of materials.
Job Functions/Competencies
- Read and write as well as interpret drawings
- Follow documented and detailed policies, procedures and assembly instructions
- Self motivated and the ability to work independently to meet work deadlines
- Manual dexterity to work with handheld tools
- Knowledge of proper use of tools and measurement
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly, perform quality work checks to ensure the produce meets quality standards
- Identify product defects and initiate appropriate documentation when defects are identified
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Maintain inventory of product in workstations
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
- High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
- Contributes to building a team spirit and displays professionalism
- Identify and support continuous improvement efforts
Education/Training:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Trade School Training or similar work experience preferred.
