Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care in outpatient settings. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in medical condition , medical billing and coding is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in clinic inpatient settings.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
- Record vital signs accurately and maintain up-to-date patient records within our systems.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
- Collect samples for laboratory tests as needed, including blood draws and urine tests.
- Provide education to patients regarding medication administration, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment to promote patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Skills
Previous experience in outpatient clinic is required (not observership or internship) Proficient in taking vital signs and performing basic clinical procedures.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient safety practices.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in situations.
- Understanding of vascular conditions and treatments is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Bilingual English and (Armenian) is ( must).
