Distribution Center: CDL Driver/Warehouse Worker
Purpose of the Position:
Regional driving to deliver and pick-up foods and materials, throughout Northwest Louisiana and other areas. This position includes warehouse work such as pulling orders and loading the delivery truck.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regional pickups and deliveries in a timely and professional manner for the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.
- Warehouse work such as picking orders, cleaning and organizing.
- Receive loads of food, unload tractor trailers, counting and weigh inventory, complete paperwork and documentation.
- Load and off-load truck using a fork-lift, pallet jack or by hand while exercising safe lifting practices.
- Maintain an orderly and sanitary warehouse and vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle operations and maintenance/repairs on all fleet vehicles.
- Perform daily and weekly general inspection of truck for maintenance/repairs and reporting problems immediately to supervisor in writing.
- Warehouse duties as assigned regarding receiving, sorting, inspecting, order filling and distribution of product in order to satisfactorily complete Food Bank goals and objectives.
- Maintain relationships with donors and/or their employees to foster continued support and a professional working relationship.
- Inspect product donations to assure that all that safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Perform duties in accordance to Food Bank safety policy.
- Maintain all current licenses, certifications, and medical cards, in accordance/compliance with Food Bank and State-mandated requirements.
- Occasional change and Flexibility in schedule may be required.
- Adhere to Feeding America and USDA operating requirements, guidelines and best practices.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Operations Manager.
Qualifications of Candidate:
Minimum level of education is high school degree learning with a minimum of 6 months experience in heavy and tractor-trailer driving.
Heavy lifting is required, up to 100 pounds.
Must have current CDL license, be fork lift certified, have a valid driver's license
Candidate must be insurable by our company policy without significant problems in driving history during last 5 years.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
