We are looking for tutors to work in elementary schools on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during and immediately after school hours. You'll be part of a team of tutors working with elementary age students. We will be working with students on reading comprehension skills in the Lawrence township area.
Weekly hours per tutor will vary from 4 to 8 hours at school. Additional hours may be available at our learning center in the evenings.
We are looking for people who care about and enjoy working with elementary aged students. If you are a stay at home parent, this position could be perfect for you! If you are a retired teacher, we'd love to hear from you!
We provide all curricula and you will be able to train with us at our learning center prior to going into a school.
A bachelor's degree is required. This is a condition of our accreditation and of our business franchise agreement, so we cannot deviate from it. We apologize for that.
A teaching certificate is a plus but not required. You must be a caring and qualified professional committed to the success of our students!

At Huntington we offer children ages 5 to 17 tutoring in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Study Skills, Phonics, Vocabulary, Science, Test Prep High School Entrance Exam preparation, and SAT/ PSAT & ACT preparation. In order to ensure that our students have a successful educational experience, our tutors are required to go through a intensive initial and ongoing training in Huntington teaching methods and our highly developed curriculum.

Responsibilities
- Provide individualized reading tutoring to elementary students during daytime hours in school settings.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment, manage materials, and communicate with administrators as appropriate.
