American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring EPIC experience and night shift availability.
-
Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
-
Care for patients of all ages including neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations
-
Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
-
36 or 48 hours per week available
-
Uses EPIC EMR system
-
Active CA RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Current ACLS certification required at time of hire
-
PALS certification required at time of hire
-
TNCC certification required within 1 year of hire
-
Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation required within 6 months of hire
-
Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia required during orientation
-
Minimum 3 years of recent ER experience required
-
EPIC EMR experience required
-
BSN preferred
-
Acute care facility experience preferred
-
MICN and CEN certifications preferred
-
No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted
-
Candidates with a prior disciplinary action on their license will not be considered

Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients during assigned shift
-
Prescribe and deliver nursing care consistent with the medical plan of care, incorporating input from patients and families
-
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
-
Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
-
Delegate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and scope of practice
