Job Summary:
The RV Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role involves coordinating repair and maintenance services for recreational vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction, and facilitating clear communication between technicians and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assess their RV service and repair needs
- Schedule service appointments and manage workflow efficiently
- Prepare accurate repair orders with detailed descriptions of issues
- Communicate with technicians to understand required repairs and timelines
- Provide customers with estimates, updates, and explanations of services
- Recommend additional maintenance or services when appropriate
- Ensure timely completion of work and follow up with customers
- Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally
- Maintain records of services performed and customer interactions
- Process payments and explain invoices clearly
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or technical training preferred)
- Previous experience in automotive, RV, or service advising roles
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of RV systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
- Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with service management software and basic computer skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in RV or dealership service departments
- Sales skills for recommending maintenance and upgrades
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Work Environment:
- Combination of office setting and service shop environment
- May require standing for extended periods and occasional outdoor work
