A Construction Production Specialist 1 is responsible for landscape construction services and projects under the direction of a Crew Leader. Services include but are not limited to tree and plant installation, mulch application, topsoil application, and lawn seeding. Projects include but are not limited to building and installing outdoor spaces using stone, wood, or concrete; preparing sites for installations, and installation or irrigation systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Complete landscape improvement projects and services under the direction of a Crew Leader

Remove debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites

Transport and operate heavy machinery and equipment
-
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections and daily cleaning, notifying management of needed repairs

Utilize all required PPE and follow OSHA/Safety Standards

Complete company required certification tracks for professional growth and compliance
Required Skills/Abilities:

In-depth knowledge of horticultural and construction practices, including but not limited to planting, pruning, and fertilization

Ability to transport and operate heavy machinery and equipment

Knowledgeable of mixing, pouring, and leveling concrete

Ability to maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism

Highly energetic, self-starter, and demonstrates a positive attitude

Excellent written and oral communication skills, both written and oral; highly skilled in organizational and time management

Ability to understand the technical requirements to perform landscape maintenance and construction duties as assigned

Effective problem-solving skills, and ability to work and meet deadlines
Physical Requirements:

Stand, walk, crouch, stoop and/or kneel; employee will regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift

May be exposed to hazardous material, loud noise, and/or extreme heat/cold temperatures
Education and Experience:
-
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
-
1+ years of related industry experience required; military experience may be substituted to meet position requirements
-
Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean record
