American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift contract requiring critical care and telemetry experience along with an active MA RN license.
-
Work in a 14-bed ICU unit
-
Patient population includes medical cases such as ARDS, COPD, GI bleed, drug overdose, COVID, and alcohol withdrawal, with occasional post-surgical patients (carotids, VATS, CEAs)
-
Care for ventilated patients on pressors with a-lines and chest tubes
-
Patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2

Unit serves as the code team and rapid response team
-
Intensivist coverage during the day and NP coverage overnight
-
Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (18:45-07:15)
-
Cerner EMR experience is a plus but not required
-
Active MA RN license required in hand
-
Current BLS and ACLS certification required
-
CCRN certification preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

Previous travel nursing experience required

Telemetry experience required
-
Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring

Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring

Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
-
Provide critical care nursing to medical and post-surgical ICU patients

Respond as part of the code team and rapid response team

Collaborate with intensivists during the day and NPs at night
-
Only candidates with prior travel nursing experience will be considered

Previous staff must wait one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
