Part time or per diem position available
Responsibilities:
- Assist the director of the department in activities for residents in an assisted living and memory care setting.
- Provide support and guidance to residents.
- Lead recreational sessions to promote engagement and well-being
- Implement specialized programs for dementia care, focusing on cognitive stimulation and emotional support
Skills:
- Event planning: Ability to organize and execute various activities and events for residents
- Assisted living: Knowledge of the unique needs and challenges of individuals in assisted living settings
- Memory care: Understanding of memory-related conditions and experience in providing care for individuals with memory loss
- Effective communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff members
- Recreational therapy: Experience in leading therapeutic activities to enhance physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being
- Dementia care: Knowledge of dementia-related behaviors, strategies for managing challenging behaviors, and creating a supportive environment
