An established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel – Labor & Employment to join its legal leadership team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role serves as the primary legal advisor on employment, labor, workplace, and human resources matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities
- Advise Human Resources, executive leadership, and business leaders on federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Counsel on employee relations, workplace investigations, accommodations, wage and hour compliance, leave laws, discrimination, retaliation, and labor matters.
- Manage employment litigation, EEOC and Department of Labor matters, administrative proceedings, and regulatory investigations.
- Provide legal guidance regarding employee discipline, terminations, reductions in force, reorganizations, severance agreements, and restrictive covenants.
- Draft employment agreements, separation agreements, workplace policies, legal memoranda, and regulatory responses.
- Partner with outside counsel and manage litigation strategy and budgets.
- Support internal investigations involving workplace misconduct and employment-related concerns.
- Develop and maintain employment compliance programs, policies, and management training.
- Supervise legal support staff assisting with employment matters.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active Arizona Bar license in good standing.
- Minimum of five years of labor and employment law experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience advising multi-state employers preferred.
- Experience handling EEOC, Department of Labor, unemployment, workers' compensation, and related agency matters preferred.
- Excellent communication, judgment, and organizational skills.
