Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food and beverage service, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service in fast-paced environments such as fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings. The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, managing POS systems, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Strong time management, sales skills, and food safety knowledge are essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using Toast POS systems.
- Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, ensuring a memorable experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately during shifts.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service practices, including checking IDs and adhering to legal drinking age regulations.
- Assist with catering events, banquets, or special functions as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy hours, including night shifts or nightclub settings.
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic math for accurate drink mixing, billing, and cash handling.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality roles, preferably within fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet environments.
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with retail math, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary for accurate transactions.
- Excellent communication skills; personable demeanor; ability to work well under pressure during peak hours.
