Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong guest relations skills and a passion for the food industry, ensuring that every patron receives attentive service and a memorable meal. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and offering assistance with menu selections.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system, ensuring all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly.
- Process payments accurately using cash register systems, ensuring proper handling of cash and credit transactions.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the dining area as well as personal hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
- Utilize OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, particularly in fine dining establishments.
- Strong guest relations skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
- Basic math skills necessary for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous; experience with cash registers is also beneficial.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
