Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Upsell menu items, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and specialty drinks to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure sanitation compliance
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu options based on guest preferences
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or fine dining setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse situations gracefully
- Experience in beverage service including cocktail mixing, spirits knowledge, wine expertise, and drink presentation
- Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices within the food industry
