CNC Machinist / Mastercam Programmer
We are a family owned metal fabrication and machining company based in Kennesaw GA and are in need of an experienced Programmer / Machinist to work in our growing machine shop department.
As a job shop we machine a high mix, low volume range of prototype and production parts, produced in a variety of materials from plastics, aluminum, steel of various grades & alloys, copper & brass.
We are in search of a self-starting individual that prefers to work in a smaller shop with a group of talented individuals that thrives on a diverse mix of parts and materials. Maintaining a high level of precision, quality of deliverables and pride in your job with a customer focused attitude is highly desired. Here you are part of our team and not just a number. Requirements:
- Develops and writes programs for numerically controlled machines using engineering specifications and drawings or 3D models.
- Utilize Mastercam and post processors, G Code or Conversational Programing at the machine based on the most efficient method to ensure safe and efficient processing.
- Analyze engineering drawings to define configuration of parts, setups and to determine type and sequence of machine operations.
- Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
- Select and specify proper tooling for each part, taking into consideration such factors as types of cutters, speeds, feeds and control system limitations.
- Inspect WIP and finished parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications using proper Inspection tools.
- Program, set up and operate 3 + 1 Axis Haas VF5 40XT Milling Machine with 30 position tool changer. (2023)
- Program, setup and operate Haas DS30Y Dual Spindle Lathe with Live Tooling & Bar Feeder (2021)
- Program, setup and operate Prototrak DMP RX5 Tool Room Milling Machine (2021)
- Program, setup and operate Prototrak 1630 RX Tool Room Lathe (2022)
- Operate various saws for blanking out materials for machining.
- Deburr work in process and finished parts as required.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Maintain machine tooling, consumables, lubrication and coolant ratios.
- Able to safely work overhead cranes and material handling equipment
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Must demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Software
- Personal measuring tools (micrometers, indicators, edge finders, etc.) are expected
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to handle various parts safely lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, visual acuity

Schedule:
· 8 to 10 hour day shift
· Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturday may be requested)
Education & Experience:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- 5+ years of general machining.
- Mix of manual and CNC machining preferred
Compensation:
· Depends on experience
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
