As a MIG Welder, you'll use specialized equipment to weld and assemble metal products, ensuring high-quality fabrication that meets precise specifications. **Responsibilities:**
- Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on various metal components, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
- Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products according to blueprints and schematics.
- Read, interpret, and follow engineering blueprints to meet product specifications.
- Calculate material measurements and verify specifications for accurate assembly.
- Install and repair equipment and components as needed.
- Conduct tests and visual inspections to evaluate weld quality, integrity, and tolerance.
- Assemble parts and components using welding techniques, including layout, positioning, and alignment.
- Operate welding equipment safely, including setup and minor maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production and meet deadlines.
**Qualifications:**
- At least 3 years of experience in MIG welding (GMAW required; GTAW/TIG experience a plus).
- Previous experience in fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or related fields.
- Familiarity with welding equipment, tools, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds.
- Physical ability to handle workload, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and adapt to varying tasks.
**Specifics:**
- Multiple MIG Welder positions available on first shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM for standard 8-hour days).
- Must be flexible for 10-hour shifts, occasional 12-hour shifts, and Saturdays as needed.
- Primary location: Mansfield, OH facility (willingness to work at Smithville, OH facility as required).
- Ability to commute to Mansfield, OH before starting work (required).
**Job Type:** Full-time
**Pay:** $19.00 - $24.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
**Expected Hours:** 40 – 45 per week
