Overview
Join our dynamic team as a General Cleaner specializing in Short-Term Rental (STR) properties and play a key role in creating clean, welcoming, and guest-ready spaces. This position focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and consistency across vacation rentals. You will be responsible for ensuring each property is spotless, properly staged, and fully prepared for incoming guests. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and understand the importance of first impressions in hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed cleaning of STR properties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing all rooms.
- Thoroughly clean bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and common areas to meet guest-ready standards.
- Ensure all surfaces, mirrors, and glass are clean and free of smudges or streaks.
- Properly make beds according to company standards, including hospital corners and correct pillow placement.
- Place and stage clean linens and towels according to property setup guidelines.
- Remove all trash, replace liners, and ensure trash areas are clean and organized.
- Return any moved furniture or items back to their proper placement.
- Ensure entryways, rugs, and staging areas are neat, organized, and guest-ready.
- Complete a final walkthrough of each property to confirm it meets inspection standards before departure.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping, STR cleaning, hotel cleaning, or residential cleaning is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow cleaning checklists and property standards.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within scheduled timeframes.
- Reliable, consistent, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Familiarity with sanitation and cleanliness standards in hospitality environments.
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Must have basic cleaning tools in proper working condition (vacuum, mop, and standard cleaning supplies).
- Ability to read and understand English is required for checklists, instructions, and communication.
- Experience with Breezeway and/or Connecteam is a plus.
- Must be willing to follow company STR cleaning standards and undergo training as needed.
