Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
- Follow all food safety and sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist with menu planning to create innovative pizza options that appeal to diverse tastes.
- Handle food production tasks such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling with skill and care.
- Support the kitchen team in meal preparation and food service operations during busy hours.
- Maintain proper knife skills for efficient ingredient prep and ensure adherence to food safety management standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-volume production runs smoothly while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
- Proven background in restaurant or food industry settings, especially with culinary experience in pizza or similar cuisine.
- Skilled in food preparation techniques including braising, poaching, grilling, and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and safe food handling practices.
- Experience working in high-volume kitchens or catering environments is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and expertise in meal preparation contribute to efficiency and quality.
- Knowledge of food safety management systems ensures compliance with health regulations.
