Opal Foods is currently accepting applications for a Daytime Security Guard. This position is responsible for ensuring that only authorized and bio-secure personnel are allowed into the facility by thoroughly checking information, communicating with management, and reporting any noncompliant activity immediately.
Job Responsibilities:

Check every individual entering the facility for proper clearance and in accordance with Opal’s biosecurity policy

Allow or deny entrance into facilities by opening and closing site gates

Maintain current information logs for each day’s driver logs including entries, exits, times, seal #’s etc.

Maintain hand-sanitizer and foot disinfectant stations and require entrants to use both

Provide direction to individuals with clearance as to where they should go and what they should do

Provide biosecurity attire to all visitors with clearance

Maintain spray station solution

Spray tires with disinfectant when automatic spray station cannot be used

Verify, sign for and communicate with plant and farm when deliveries received

Clean work area and empty trash at the end of each shift

Ensure all loaded trucks are properly identified with the correct seal before leaving

Communicate with and update the incoming guard during shift change to ensure all information is exchanged

Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Work together with the warehouse to provide appropriate dock # to driver so they can remain in their truck

Provide daily update to manager to review any issues that might have occurred during shift

Must be available to work 12 hour shifts including weekends and holidays
