Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Restaurant Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that delight our guests, adhering to food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your culinary expertise and dedication will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation according to established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all tools are maintained and sanitized regularly
- Follow food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures to uphold hygiene standards in all food handling activities
- Assist in menu planning and food production to meet the demands of high-volume service periods
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and disposal of waste
- Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals and adhering to dietary restrictions
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and uphold the quality of every dish served
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within restaurant or catering environments.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling
- Knowledge of food safety management systems and sanitizing procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment effectively and safely under pressure
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume food production
- Excellent food industry knowledge with an understanding of dietary requirements and catering needs
- Effective teamwork skills with a focus on serving guests promptly and professionally

Pay: $20.30 - $22.57 per hour
