Overview
We are seeking a skilled Residential and Commercial Electrical Project Manager and Estimator to assist our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical construction and service, estimating, and project management. This role involves interfacing with both residential & commercial customers, general contractors, and subs. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in doing takeoffs to create deliverable estimates in a timely manner. Strong knowledge of what's needed to complete jobs and create estimates that accurately outline the scope and cost for completion is required.
Remote work OK provided there's a high level of accountability and production.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for small to large electrical projects using software such as Bluebeam.
- Create project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with clients and subcontractors to define project scope and specifications for accurate estimating.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information for accurate estimating isn't required but is a plus.
- Monitor project progress, work with Field Manager, and implement cost control measures to maintain budget integrity.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician in both residential and commercial.
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial job estimating.
- Familiarity with NEC standards and regulations related to electrical installations.
- Proficiency in takeoff software such as Bluebeam.
- A track record of successful project management.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
