Seniors Helping Seniors® (“SHS”) in-home care services of Greater Cerritos brightens the lives of seniors who can benefit from a helping hand and a friendly smile. Qualifications:
Experience & Certifications: Prior caregiving experience (HCA, CNA, HHA, or related) preferred.
Requirements: Valid CA driver’s license, reliable transportation, and state-mandated test.
Personal Attributes: Empathetic, dependable, punctual, emotionally mature, and passionate about supporting seniors.
Physical & Care Capabilities: Able to stand, bend, perform light lifting, follow detailed care plans, and proactively assist clients.
Companionship and Homemaker Duties may include:
Friendly companionship and joyful conversation
Light Housekeeping, running errands & transportation
Meal Preparation / Medication Reminders
Respite Care
Light Yard Work / Light Handyman Services
Pet Care and more
Personal Care Duties may include:
Bathing, grooming, hygiene, and toileting
Mobility Assistance
Memory Care (Alzheimer’s and dementia)
Other Responsibilities:
Timekeeping & Tracking: Arrive on time, clock in/out using the care management system, and accurately document all services provided on timesheets and the given tools.
Communication & Safety: Proactively communicate with office staff, immediately report any changes in a client’s condition or behavior, and respond promptly to emergencies (including calling 911 and notifying the office).
Compliance & Training: Complete all state-mandated training on time, attend in-service/informational meetings when possible, and maintain strict client privacy and confidentiality at all times.
