We are partnering with a well-established mechanical construction firm in New England, known for its innovative projects in sectors like life sciences, healthcare, and higher education. Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Estimator to join their growing team. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, where building strong relationships and delivering high-quality estimates are key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate labor, material, and equipment takeoffs for a range of projects
- Develop detailed cost estimates for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Collaborate with construction managers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to create comprehensive project proposals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Analyze project documents to understand the scope and relay key information to the operations team
- Solicit and review subcontractor and vendor pricing, ensuring compliance with project specifications
- Identify project risks and opportunities and present them to the team for review
- Maintain and organize bid documents, including plans, specifications, RFIs, and quotes
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for mechanical, plumbing, or fire protection systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoBid Mechanical, and Bid Tracer
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and growth
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Pay: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
