We are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing company for an experienced Key Account Manager (KAM) to manage and grow strategic customer relationships.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being at the center of the customer relationship while working closely with operations, supply chain, engineering, finance, and other internal teams. You’ll have ownership of key accounts, visibility across the business, and the opportunity to directly influence customer growth and profitability.
Note: To be considered for this role, candidates must be located in the East Coast region. This position is currently remote and is expected to remain remote for the foreseeable future. Work arrangements may evolve over time based on business needs.
What You’ll Do
As a Key Account Manager, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and take ownership of both the day-to-day relationship and the long-term account strategy.
Customer & Account Management
- Build strong, trusted relationships with key customers at multiple levels of their organizations
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to meet customer expectations and resolve issues
- Understand each customer’s business, priorities, product lifecycle, and future needs
- Ensure internal teams remain aligned with customer requirements and commitments
Account Growth & Strategy
- Develop and execute account plans focused on retention, growth, and long-term partnership
- Own customer sales budgets, forecasts, and growth plans
- Identify opportunities to expand existing business through new products, programs, and capabilities
- Support pricing, RFQs, proposals, and contract negotiations
- Analyze customer and market information to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Provide customer insights that support broader forecasting and capacity planning
Performance & Profitability
- Drive account-level revenue and margin performance
- Monitor delivery, quality, cost, service, and other key customer metrics
- Lead regular customer business reviews and communicate performance, trends, risks, and opportunities
- Work across internal teams to address performance gaps and drive continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate customer activity, forecasting, and communication records
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in B2B key account management, technical sales, or a similar customer-facing role
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Strong business and financial acumen, including an understanding of pricing, costs, margins, and profitability
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-value customer relationships
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze data and translate it into meaningful business decisions
- Experience influencing and coordinating cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel as business needs require
Experience That Will Set You Apart
Experience within electronics manufacturing, EMS, PCBA, or a related technical manufacturing environment is highly desirable. Additional experience with the following is a plus:
- Printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies
- Manufacturing processes and production workflows
- Materials and supply chain management
- Quality systems
- Cost and margin management
- Advanced Excel, including pivot tables, data analysis, and modeling

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
