Job Description
TanMar Companies is seeking a dependable and motivated Mobile Home Electrical Technician to join our Refurbishment and Rental team. This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems within mobile homes, office trailers, workforce housing units, and related rental assets.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with residential or commercial electrical systems and possess the ability to diagnose electrical issues safely and efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems in mobile homes and workforce housing units.
- Install, repair, and replace electrical wiring, outlets, switches, breakers, light fixtures, and panels.
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing equipment and perform corrective repairs.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes, company standards, and safety regulations.
- Assist with mobile home refurbishment projects, including remodels and upgrades.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, shop, and yard.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of electrical experience preferred.
- Experience with residential, modular building, manufactured housing, or commercial electrical systems preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting techniques and testing equipment.
- Understanding of electrical codes and safe work practices.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
