EDGE ELEVATOR PRODUCTS, FL is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake machinery to fabricate precision metal components used in the production of elevator cabs, entrances, doors, and related products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality work.
Essential Functions:
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and production schedules.
- Select the appropriate tooling and machine settings for each job.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Measure materials using tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Assist with other fabrication and production duties as needed.
Position Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating CNC press brake equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Strong understanding of measuring tools and basic shop mathematics, including fractions and decimals.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Skills & Abilities:
- Work safely in accordance with company guidelines.
- Experience operating CNC press brake equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues.
