Seeking a skilled Water Truck Driver to join our Team.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
1. Operation of 4000-gallon water trucks to spray or deliver water to various construction sites. Purpose shall be directed by the on-site foreman or superintendent but may include; dust control or moisture conditioning. At no time shall operation create slick, icy, flooded or muddy conditions. Operation shall include the operation of spray bars, side sprayers, flapper valves, cannon(s) and fire hoses. Candidate shall possess knowledge of typical cam and threaded fittings and incorporate this knowledge throughout their performance of work duties.
2. Compliance with FMCSA / DOT requirements via pre- and post- operation inspections, maintaining a daily trip log, and adherence to all laws
3. Position shall be responsible for all minor to moderate maintenance on the provided water truck, position shall be responsible to contact dispatch for major repairs. Maintenance covered by this item shall include operator-level maintenance such as checking and maintaining fluids, greasing as appropriate, lights, tires, hoses, fittings, spray heads and other routine service items.
4. Position shall be include operation on public roadways as well as on active construction sites, position shall be responsible for cleaning the provided water truck prior to leaving an on-site placement to comply with pollution control requirements. This shall include the removal of accumulated mud / debris from tires and the vehicle as required prior to entering public roadways and in compliance with applicable track-out and stormwater requirements.
5. Position may be provided fill-stand keys, cards and other means of authorization and / or access, position shall be responsible for the safekeeping, authorized use and safeguarding of these items. Position is further responsible for prompt notification of loss or theft. Position shall be responsible for the safe and responsible filling at top-fill water stands as well as from fire hydrants.
6. Position shall maintain DTRs (driver trip records) for the company as well as any prime hauler the company may be subcontracted / sublet to, position shall be responsible for the timely delivery of all weigh tickets, load counts, prime-hauler trip slips to Dispatch or the Office
7. Position shall, in the event of an accident, theft, or damage to the provided water truck, be responsible for the complete documentation including photographic evidence, written statement(s), collection of law enforcement report numbers and contact information, and assessment of damage for submission to Dispatch, the Office or the position's direct Supervisor immediately.
Candidate shall, at a minimum, possess the following qualifications:
1. Valid Nevada Class A Commercial Drivers License with Tanker endorsement (Hazmat a plus)
2. 3+ years work experience operating top-load water trucks in a commercial setting (4000+ gallons)
3. OSHA 10 certification
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
