Vocal & Performing Arts Instructor

The {507} Dance Company is looking to expand our performing arts opportunities beyond dance! We are seeking an enthusiastic Vocal & Performing Arts Instructor interested in working with children and teens in one or more of the following areas:
- Vocal / singing instruction
- Musical theatre
- Acting
- Voice acting
- Voice-over technique
- Audition and performance preparation
- Private vocal or acting lessons
You do not need to specialize in every area listed above. We would love to connect with individuals who have strong experience in one or several of these areas and are excited about sharing their knowledge with young performers.
About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity to help us develop and grow a new area of programming at The {507} Dance Company. Depending on the instructor's experience and interests, opportunities could include:
- Weekly group classes
- Short-term workshops or specialty courses
- Private lessons
- Musical theatre programming
- Vocal coaching for dancers and performers
- Acting and audition preparation
- Voice-over/voice acting workshops
- Future performance opportunities
We are especially interested in finding someone who enjoys working collaboratively and would be excited to help shape programming based on their own strengths and expertise.
Who We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate:
- Has education, training, or professional experience in vocal performance, music education, theatre, acting, voice-over, or a related performing arts field
- Enjoys working with children and/or teens
- Creates a positive, encouraging learning environment
- Is dependable, professional, and communicative
- Can meet students at different experience levels
- Is excited about helping young performers build confidence, technique, and performance skills
Teaching experience is preferred, but we are also open to college students, recent graduates, performers, educators, and industry professionals who have strong training and an interest in teaching.
Scheduling
Scheduling is flexible and will be developed based on instructor availability, student interest, and programming needs. Opportunities may range from occasional workshops to recurring weekly classes and private lessons.

The {507} Dance Company is a growing youth performing arts program based in Southeast Minnesota. While dance is at the heart of what we currently do, our vision is to continue creating opportunities for young people to explore the performing arts in an encouraging, high-quality environment.
We're looking for someone who doesn't simply want to fill a teaching slot—we'd love to find someone who is excited about helping us build something.
