We are seeking an energetic and friendly Food Runner and Hostess to join our dynamic restaurant team! Responsibilities
- Deliver freshly prepared food from the kitchen to guests efficiently, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold food safety and sanitation standards.
- Support the serving team by refilling beverages, delivering condiments, and attending to guest needs promptly.
- Take orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and communicate special requests clearly to kitchen staff.
- Help with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic plate assembly or garnishing under supervision.
- Maintain a clean work environment by dishwashing utensils, glassware, and kitchen tools regularly.
- Support catering events or banquet setups by delivering food items and assisting with guest services as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service roles such as bussing, hosting/hostessing, or serving is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable or phone etiquette is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and excellent guest relations abilities to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Experience in beverage preparation, meal delivery, or catering enhances your fit for this energetic role.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate loads, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Hospitality background including hotel or banquet experience is advantageous.
