Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Physician specializing in Interventional Pain Management to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties
- Perform minimally invasive interventional procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, radiofrequency ablations, and spinal cord stimulator placements to alleviate pain.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging techniques like CT scans and fluoroscopy.
- Develop personalized pain management plans integrating pharmacologic treatments, physical therapy, psychological support, and alternative therapies such as botulinum toxin treatments.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, and rehabilitation specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and other EMR platforms for documentation, order entry, and care coordination.
- Educate patients on pain management options, medication use—including IV infusions—and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term wellness.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical records in accordance with NCQA standards and hospital policies.
Experience
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology or related fields.
- Proven experience in interventional pain management procedures within a hospital or outpatient setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency with medical imaging modalities such as CT scans and fluoroscopy for procedural guidance.
- Familiarity with EMR systems like Epic or similar platforms for clinical documentation and patient management.
- Strong understanding of pharmacology related to pain medications including botulinum toxin treatments and perioperative care protocols.
- Experience working in inpatient environments such as Level I trauma centers or hospitals with acute care capabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of clinical research methodologies related to pain medicine is a plus; active participation in ongoing studies is encouraged. Pay: $400,000.00 - $500,000.00 per year
