Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician to join our team, providing expert service and maintenance for HVAC systems across various commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with HVAC/R systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and related HVAC equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure proper system setup and troubleshooting.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including refrigerant lines and water connections.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, motors, valves, and electrical wiring.
- Utilize welding/brazing skills for equipment repair or modification when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all maintenance activities.
- Maintain detailed records of service work performed and parts used.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar field service role within construction or property maintenance. (5 year minimum experience)
- Has an HVAC Certification or is currently enrolled in program
- Possess an EPA Certification or will be required to receive certification within the first 3 months of employment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in refrigeration, air conditioning and boiler systems.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and equipment repair procedures.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Skilled in welding and general equipment repair techniques.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in field service environments involving air conditioning systems is preferred.
- This position requires a dedicated professional capable of handling diverse technical tasks while maintaining high standards of safety and quality service delivery.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
