Job Title: Quality MRB/EPC Controller
Reports To: Quality Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly / Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday through Friday (7:00AM–3:00PM); overtime as needed
General Description
The Quality MRB/EPC Controller supports high‑volume automotive manufacturing by overseeing daily shipping needs by working directly with Shipping & Production Control to ensure customer expectations are being met. This position also includes inspection of Nonconforming/Suspect parts and tracking metrics related to departmental needs.

Responsibilities/Expectations
- Working with Production Controls and Shipping department for product flow through EPC area
- Inspection of parts that require EPC / Sort
- Working with QC Manager on scheduling for overtime and personnel, as needed
- Daily direction of other EPC auditors on priorities and expectations
- Tracking and traceability of all parts that are placed in the QC Hold area
- Area layout and product staging
- Daily reporting of findings from EPC/Sorting to Departmental Management Team members
- This will include repeat MRB non-conformances and NG parts discovered during daily EPC final inspection processes.
- Weekly metric tracking of internal sorting time and efficiencies
- Report and maintain RMA inventory to Quality Management
- Ensure that MRB & EPC tracking logs are being properly maintained
Physical Requirements
- Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items
- Responding to public address system announcements
- Walking and standing
- Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds or more
- Able to operate forklift safely and efficiently
Environmental Job Requirements
- Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the shop, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing an uneven walking surface
- The shop environment can be dusty and noisy
- Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes
- Floors around work area may become slippery during wet weather conditions, or liquids such as coolants and oils from the machinery
- May have to handle parts with sharp edges
- Passing forklifts emit gas fumes
- Tools, supplies, and related materials may contain hazardous materials
- May have to occasionally work outdoors where temperatures and climate can fluctuate
Personal Protection Equipment
- The wearing of Safety Glasses when working on the shop floor.
