Overview
Dynatek Labs is a medical device testing facility located in Galena, MO. The company specializes in designing and manufacturing equipment for conducting durability and performance evaluations of class 3 medical devices, with a specific focus on vascular devices.
The Machinist / CAD Designer will be responsible for bridging the gap between digital design and physical production, alternating between engineering tasks and hands-on shop fabrication. The facility utilizes SolidWorks and advanced manufacturing equipment to deliver high-quality, low-volume, and prototype projects.
Responsibilities
The Machinist / CAD Designer must be able to:
- Be a self-starter, working diligently and reliably.
- Utilize SolidWorks to develop accurate 3D models, complex assemblies, and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Set up, program, and operate manual and/or CNC machinery to manufacture precision components.
- Take engineering concepts from initial sketches through modeling, physical prototyping, and final functional testing.
- Collaborate across teams to manage shifting priorities, maintain productivity during transitions, and approach diverse workflows with a problem-solving mindset.
- Pivot seamlessly between dedicated design tasks and hands-on shop fabrication depending on current project demands and schedules.
- Maintain a kind, cooperative, and collaborative professional demeanor within a tight-knit team.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
Work Hours and Benefits
Typical working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, with occasional extended hours depending on workflow demands. The compensation package includes:

Education, Qualifications and Skills Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional CAD experience specifically using SolidWorks.
- Proficiency in parametric modeling and drafting standards.
- Experience in a prototyping or custom fabrication environment preferred.
- Strong hands-on mechanical skills.
- Demonstrated experience operating manual shop machinery (e.g., mills, lathes) and standard hand tools.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable navigating variability in daily task assignments.
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
