What will I do as an employee with Redstone?
As a Pastoral and Bereavement Coordinator, supporting the Redstone mission will include the following responsibilities:

Complete timely spiritual assessments and initiation of appropriate services for patients and families/caregivers in the hospice program. Provide direct spiritual care to patients and families/caregivers via in-person visit or remotely from telephone correspondence.

Attend patient care conference and interdisciplinary group meetings as a member of the interdisciplinary group. Facilitate the development of an interdisciplinary group plan of care to meet identified spiritual needs, including bereavement risk for the patient or the family/caregiver in advance of death. Provide consultation, education, and support to the interdisciplinary group on spiritual care.

Provide for funeral or memorial services for patients as requested; plan periodic memorial services to meet the needs of personnel, volunteers, and community clergy/spiritual counselors working with the hospice team.

Maintain records of spiritual care services utilization, and related activities for quality assurance, program development, and policies and procedures review and revision.

Participates in the on-call rotation monthly in the capacity of counselor, which could include legal consents, responding to crisis and/or assisting in coordinating a patient revocation with patient or representatives.
What do I need for this role with Redstone?
-
A minimum of two years' experience counseling or working with individuals, families and caregivers related to death and dying. Knowledge of hospice programs desirable.

Graduated from an accredited seminary or school of theology.
- Licensed and ordained minister, deacon, or commissioned lay pastor. (preferred)

A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
