Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting aggregates safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of truck operations, route planning, and adherence to safety regulations. The Truck Driver will operate different types of trucks, including tractor-trailer end-dumps and dump trucks, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Duties
- Operating tractor-trailers end dumps, and dump trucks, for the transportation of aggregates.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record and must have at least 3 years of experience in the same line of work.
- Experience in truck driving with knowledge of manual transmission operation preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and delivery processes.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks including dump trucks, tractor trailer end dumps.
- Strong understanding of aggregates hauling procedures and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy.
